Ron Lawson
On Saturday 19thSeptember Roy, Carl, Ian, and myself headed to the Vine Church in Dunfermline to meet up with other biker’s from all over Scotland, to help rise funding for a new hospital in a small Island off the coast Haiti called Lagonave. The old 33 bed hospital built in the 1950’serves a population of just over 100,000. The staffs do a fantastic, but almost impossible job, in a crumbling run down facility with equipment that is beginning to fail.
The run began in Dunfermline and went on through Powmill , Gleneagles and Braco to Comrie where we stopped for cup o’ tea after tea we went on to Killin and across to Pitlochry where we all stopped for some dinner and fuel for the bikes. We all had a good old blether with each other for about an hour before making our way back to the bikes and cared on down to Bridge of Cally and Perth finally heading back to Dunfermline. What a brilliant day out and the company was even better and to top it all of we all managed to raise over £300.00.
Well done to the organizer Alasdair Buchan and all the rest of us
