Digger (TG)
On Sunday 6 December, Goldwing Misfits and friends from Keltic Wings took an early afternoon run to Crail, to meet up with Scotia Wings to take part in and support the annual Crail Christmas Parade.
We all met up at Carl and Brenda’s house where we were treated to tea coffee and snacks, which was very welcome, thanks to you both at 2pm, we made the short run to Crail Primary School to meet the past and present Gala Queens, after posing for the local press, more refreshments and natural break.
We then warmed the bikes up and took the Queens and some of the local children on a small light parade around the residential areas of Crail. On our return, we had a Scottish/Irish party in the playground, much to the amazement of the locals, but the kids loved it. (Keep up the guitar lessons though Ron, your Irish dancing skills could be improved upon!).
We saddled up again for the Christmas Parade along the main street, stopping for the official switching on of the tree and town Christmas lights It was then time to say goodbye to Crail and all our friends who attended, the weather kept fair and a great time was had by all.
Thank You Crail, look forward to seeing you all next year.
Emma crowned as Crail Queen
PRETTY Crail girl, Emma Busby, has been crowned Queen of the East Neuk burgh.
Emma was crowned on Saturday by the outgoing queen, Eleanor Linton, at Crail Primary School’s annual Christmas Fair which attracted a large crowd, including the Goldwing Misfits
Eleven-year-old Emma is in P7 at Crail Primary School and will go on to Waid Academy in Anstruther next August.
She was voted in to her role as Crail Queen through an open vote by all the pupils at the primary school.
Her attendant was her best friend, Natalie Petrie, and together they looked the part and took to their roles with great enthusiasm!
